Offset Printing
Offset printing is a common technique used in printing. This method uses image transfers, placing the inked image onto a plate that transfers the image to a rubber blanket. This is where the term “offset” comes from. The rubber blanket transfers the image to the printing surface.
We choose to print many of our print marketing pieces using offset printing methods for many reasons.
- Offset printing produces a consistently high quality image with photo-quality art. This method also produces sharp, clean images and type easier and more precisely than letterpress printing, due to the rubber blanket. The rubber blanket conforms more easily to the texture of the printing surface, resulting in a much higher quality product.
- Offset printing prints easily on a wide range of surfaces, making it an excellent choice for print marketing pieces.
- Our offset presses are more modern. They use a computer-to-plate system instead of the older computer-to-film model, further increasing the print quality.
